here's a stupid question; are you an illustrator yourself? what made you decide to start such an exclusive blog? It's really wonderful.
Thank you so much! It’s not a stupid question, so much as it is an excuse to shamelessly promote myself. I’ve linked to my stuff twice before, but I try not to make a habit of it. Alright, so here’s a short bio for anybody that’s interested:
I started this blog because I was sad that there wasn’t much online to refer to in order to learn more about Moebius for anyone that was curious. I had a lot of downtime at my bookstore job, and wanted to put it all in one place, and I also wanted to fill in my own gaps of knowledge about the guy’s work as I went along.
My name is Ian MacEwan. I draw comics and do a little illustration work here and there. I’ve had my work published in a few role playing guides, and random zines that I’m sure no one has ever seen. I am currently getting ready to have my first comic published later this year, called The Yankee. It’s written by Jason Leivian, owner of the excellent Floating World Comics in Portland, OR. I don’t know if I could describe it right now without sounding laughably pretentious. Let’s just say it’ss staring a dandy pimp who looks like Prince, and there are drugs and sex and lunatics that vomit smoke. If any of you want to know any more about the comic or myself, I’d love it if you followed me at any of these places:
Hello and again thanks for posting my Moebius piece.
Now, I have a question about INCAL: THE CLASSIC COLLECTION.
Do you by any chance know how one from outside the US (I live in Athens, Greece) can order a copy?
Aside from ordering it on Amazon, I don’t know what your options would be. No matter what, I imagine you’re gonna eat some international shipping charges. But: worth it, right?
Sidenote: I hadn’t noticed until looking it up on Amazon just now that Brian Michael Bendis wrote the foreword for this edition. Huh.
