A blog exploring the work of Jean Giraud, aka Gir, aka Moebius. Basically, there didn't seem to be any places online that gave a comprehensive collection of his work, so I made one.
[The official site of Moebius] - While there are very few of his works available to an English-only audience, the last thing I want to do is take away from potential sales by hosting his work here. If you speak French and can enjoy his books the way they were originally meant to be enjoyed, please click over and show him some love.

MAINSTREAM COMICS ARE ALL DRAWN ON 11 X 17 INCH PAPER FOR THE MOST PART - WITH A 10 X 15 INCH LIVE AREA.“Whenever I really want to study a comic book artist I try and find out what size their originals were. I have a Roy Crane original that rearranged my thinking. There is nothing like seeing an original and understanding how the artist made his marks. But of course most of us can’t afford originals so the thing I recommend doing is going down to the photocopy place and enlarging your favorite cartoonist’s comic up to original size. I did that for some Gene Colan comics and it really helped me see his work more clearly and to understand the way the marks were made.”
NICE — Does anyone out there know the standard sizes for, say, a Marvel/DC page layout? Or any useful scale-references or conventions?

NOPE! FRENCH COMICS - LIKE THE ABOVE BLUEBERRY PAGE ARE DRAWN ON A3 PAPER WHICH IS A LITTLE BIGGER THAN 11 X 17….
Thanks! (I guess that Blueberry page above looks to be two 11 x 17’s taped together…)
