quenched consciousness

A blog exploring the work of Jean Giraud, aka Gir, aka Moebius. Basically, there didn't seem to be any places online that gave a comprehensive collection of his work, so I made one.

[The official site of Moebius] - While there are very few of his works available to an English-only audience, the last thing I want to do is take away from potential sales by hosting his work here. If you speak French and can enjoy his books the way they were originally meant to be enjoyed, please click over and show him some love.

Career Timeline: 1977 - Ah! Nana, no. 2

In 1976. Les Humanoïdes Associés co-founder Jean-Pierre Dionnet started a female-creator-centric magazine as a companion to Metal Hurlant. It was called Ah! Nana, and all content was created by women, except that one man was invited for each issue to contribute. Issue 2 was published in the beginning of 1977, and had a controversial 4 page strip called The Apple Pie that was drawn by Moebius and written by Claudine Conin, his wife at the time.

The Women in Comics Wiki has more information about Ah! Nana here, including a nice gallery of its 9 covers.
