Not only are Moebius’ books incredibly unavailable, even Tron is out of print on DVD. Disney has no plans to release it either, as they are apparently embarrassed by it and don’t want audiences to connect Tron: Legacy with its original. Probably something to do with the original’s accessibility factor. And while I think it’s a dumb move and love the original, I have to admit that it is not an accessible film. Like, at all. In fact, it’s absolutely nuts. It’ll most likely be released on DVD when Legacy is, but who knows how long that will take? Disney needs to milk the theater circulation for all it’s worth to make the gargantuan amount money they put into it back.
