A blog exploring the work of Jean Henri Gaston Giraud(1938 - 2012) , aka Gir, aka Moebius.
[The official site of Moebius] - While there aren't many of his works available to an English-only audience, the last thing I want to do is take away from potential sales by hosting his work here. If you speak French and can enjoy his books the way they were originally meant to be enjoyed, please click over and show him and his publishers some love.

A small sample of Moebius’ storyboards for Jodorowsky’s Dune. Jodorowsky says there are hundreds of pages of this stuff, which we’ll hopefully see more of when Frank Pavich’s documentary finally sees a release.

Career Timeline: 1976 - Dune
Moebius meets Alejandro Jodorwosky, and begins work as a concept artist on a filma adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune, specializing in costume design and storyboarding. The film was infamously abandoned, but created many new relationships for Moebius, particularly with Jodorowsky and writer Dan O’Bannon.

Premiering at this year’s Cannes film festival will be a documentary called Jodorowsky’s Dune, which chronicles the infamous failed production involving Salvador Dali, Orson Welles, Pink Floyd, HR Giger, and of course Moebius. The article is a little unclear as to the form this documentary will take, but there will deinfitely be interviews with Jodo and, I can only assume, Moebius.
Happy day!
